From the Halls of Montezuma, to the alleys of Fallajuh, and all points in between. For over 160 years, men and women from Collin County have fought and died to keep America free.

The honor, bravery, and sacrifice of these Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines, has established the flag of the United States of America, in the eyes of the world, as the definitive symbol for the word "Freedom."

The site you are about to enter contains the names of 325 brother warriors.
Though they are no longer with us in body, their spirits live on.

It is our sworn duty as Veterans to insure that no Soldier ever dies. No Brother left behind! As you enter this Hall of Heroes, walk softly with reverence and respect, yet hold your head high with pride. You are among family. And remember, fellow Warrior, on that day when you are relieved of duty and fall-in among their ranks, there will be another Warrior to take your place and walk that post in a military manner until the day he is properly relieved; and so on, and so on, and ...

20,  McKinney, Watertender 2nd Class, Navy, WIA at Pearl Harbor, 7 Dec, 1941 on board the USS Helena, KIA 6 July, 1943 when Helena sunk by a Japanese submarine in the Battle of Kula Gulf.
GLASS, WALTER MAX JR.  Farmersville, Pvt. Army Electrical Engineers, KIA 6 July, 1944 on Saipan in the South Pacific.
GREER, ROBY H. 24, Blue Ridge, Army, PFC - 171st Field Arty Bn (105MM) HQ Battery, 45th Infantry Div. MOS 4641 – Field Wireman. Killed in action 7 July, 1952.
HARTNESS, DURWOOD  Farmersville, landed at Normandy on D-Day, KIA 27 July, 1944 in France.
HEATHINGTON, TERRY  McKinney, US Naval Reserve, died 19 July, 1943.
HILL, RALPH O.  Frisco, Sgt. USMC. Fought in New Guinea, Bougainville, wounded on Guadalcanal, wounded on Guam, KIA 21 July, 1944 in the Mariana Islands in the South Pacific.
LEWIS, JACK J.  Farmersville, Sgt. Co. A. 359th Inf. 90th Div. Died in USA from being gassed in France, 23 July, 1918. Buried at Huson Cemetery, Farmersville.

MESSER, CHESTER D.  Nevada, PFC, KIA in Aleutian Islands July 1943. MORELAND, CYREL D. 19, McKinney, Merchant Marines, killed July 1944 in explosion aboard ship at Oakland, California.
RODGERS, MARTIN L. 18, McKinney, Sp5, D Troop, 3rd Squadron, 5th Air Cav. 1st Aviation Brigade. Drown when his helicopter crashed in the Mekong River, 26 July, 1970 in Vietnam.
SCALF, W. C.  McKinney, PFC USMC, KIA 25 July, 1944 on Guam.
SMITH, BRIAN DREW 30, McKinney, 2nd Lt., Company A, 1st Battalion, 34th Armor, 1st Infantry Division. KIA 2 July, 2004 in Iraq.
STRICKLAND, RONALD BOYD 21, Melissa - Westminster area. After serving a tour in Vietnam as an artillery man, Cpl Strickland was killed in a training accident 4 July, 1969, on base at Camp Pendleton, California.
